If you’re looking for a trek that doesn’t need heavy gear or bulky clothes, then you should head to the Annapurna Region. This is the second most popular trekking region in Nepal and visitors can enjoy the trek in their shirts and light trousers. It’s mild and pleasant weather makes trekking here a real joy. Don’t forget to bring your camera, because the scenery is truly magnificent. You might also want to take a night off in the Annapurna base camp.

Poonhill Trek - Trekking guide in nepal

 5. Poonhill Trek: (3210 meters) 4-6 days:

Poonhil Trek is one of the most visited Treks in Nepal. At an average more than 100,000 people do this Trek in a year. The Trek is comparatively the easiest of all the aforementioned Treks and it takes a couple of days to complete. I would highly recommend beginners to start the Trekking journey with this one. Once you reach at the TOP of the Trek, you will see amazing views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain Ranges.

For trekking in Nepal, there are a number of options you might want to consider. The first one is a camping trek with your typical tents. It may sound tedious, but you will have a guide, cook and people to help you carry your gear. It gives you a new experience without having the need to push yourself by carrying loads of gear. You may also want to have a lodging trek, or one where you sleep in a lodge instead. The lodge found in treks for Annapurna acts like a hotel with private rooms, sumptuous meals, hot showers and cozy beds. By staying in lodges, you get a chance to interact with the locals and see their culture first hand.

Trekking in Nepal is not simply going up mountains to see a good views. There are also birds, animals, monasteries, temples and villages. You won’t just become awed by these natural wonders, but you will experience the local Nepalese culture, which is worth more than anything. A trek in Nepal brings you on a different level of nature and culture combined. It will be one of the most fulfilling and holistic things you do.

So, what about you? Did you do any of the aforementioned Treks? Do share your thoughts in the comment section below.
